The SOSSBOSSER story started in 2023 in true kiwi fashion with the desire to make something easier…
The Sausage Conundrum
Like most kiwis, we love cooking saussies on the barbie – or in the frypan in the kitchen.
What frustrated us was how hard it was to cook the sausages evenly all the way round. We would constantly be trying to balance one sausage against another – or against the side of the pan. And still they’d end up rolling over! The result often being unevenly cooked/browned sausages.
The Sausage Answer
It all started with no 8 wire in our garage in Christchurch, New Zealand! Yep that’s right, the first SOSSBOSSER sausage holder started as a hand twisted, no 8 wire beauty which allowed us to hold all sausages in place and gradually rotate them to get that even, perfect cook.
A lot of research and development ensued, until we found the perfect manufacturers who worked with us to create the ideal design, shape and material to be long lasting, scratch resistant and easy to use.
One day after accidentally knocking the SOSSBOSSER, we noticed that all sausages rolled evenly and from there the Deluxe BBQ Model with heat resistant handle was developed.
SOSSBOSSER Today
Today our SOSSBOSSER’s are manufactured using Food Grade 304 stainless steel and Food Grade high heat resistant silicone rubber, which can be exposed to temperatures of up to 230 degrees Celsius for prolonged periods.
